Things to do near Bailey, Colorado

Front Range A-Frame was designed to be a destination not a layover.

Many of our guests tell us that once they arrive they cancel plans, and just relax in the space instead. We LOVE that, and have plenty of amenities for a relaxing getaway, but if you like to be on the go (same!), we can help you plan your trip.

Bailey, Colorado is a hidden gem. The town is surrounded by streams, mountain trails, and stunning views. The downtown itself is small and charming, but often overlooked. Once you sit by the creek and enjoy a meal or glass of wine at Aspen Creek Cellars you’ll wonder why anyone would ever overlook it.

Getting outside in Bailey is easy. There’s so many hiking trails, the hardest part will be narrowing down which ones to do. We’re also not far from gold medal fishing waters, beautiful alpine lakes, rock climbing, mountain biking trails and Colorado’s 14,000′ mountains, so whether you’re looking for a casual outdoor experience or something more advanced we probably have it nearby.

Other things to do know about the area:

Bailey, Colorado’s elevation is 7,740′ which is actually pretty low for a Colorado Mountain town. Our winters are more mild (and warmer) than a ski town. In the winter this location is especially nice if you’re making the drive from the Denver area and don’t want to drive over mountain passes. However, we always recommend renting/driving a capable car in the winter months in Colorado. Learn more about winter in Bailey.

There’s plenty more to do! Once you book with us reach out and we’ll send you a map of our favorite hikes, restaurants, shops and more within a two hour drive.
